It's been a somewhat bumpy road since the beginning of 2008, but after some hard work on the parts of myself and my cohort MixMasterLar, a dedicated GemuBaka site under our control is finally in our grasp.  From our rocky beginnings at the former Rithum News, we've since moved on and provided services to a number of great sites such as J2Games, Bemanistyle, Diehard GameFAN, Video Game Collector Magazine and Arcade Heroes and have made a big number of valuable friendships along the way.  We were formerly headquarted at the GemuBaka Blog, which will still receive minor updates, so we still encourage everyone to visit the Blogspot site, check out the musings and support us by visiting our advertisers and affiliates (do the same for the aforementioned sites as well).

After Rithum closed out in March, we made it our mission to be fully independent and running in one year - we began the GemuBaka Blog and affiliations in May and here we are not even six months later, already at our goal.  Even though months have passed, we still have the same goal as provided in the very first post of the GemuBaka Blog: "Unlike our last production, GemuBaka is not about news, but rather the culture and everything enjoyable about video games. Video gaming is fun, so reading about them should be fun as well. You won't see any boring quarterly reports or PR quotes from publisher execs here, just pieces that will educate you about current games and classics of old and reviews that lend an opinion of whether or not you should bother with a game."

Just to clarify, so there are no confusions, we are not a scraper site.  We do not just pull someone else's work from another site and report it as news.  GemuBaka only reprints work when a member of the site creates an original work for another site and we are given permission to reprint it on our site.  Thus, you should know any article posted on this site comes from its original author.  The site is more than a collection of works from other sites as we do produce original materials for the site as well.  You can view any site-exclusive material on our GemuBaka Exclusive Feature page.
